Goodbye Florida
Things have kicked up a notch here. Last week, we took a whirlwind trip to Florida for a service at the National Cemetery for Mike's dad, who passed away June 1.
We rented a super cute Air B&B right next to the beach at Cape Canaveral.
Check out Vivian's little loft. I love the details in this place - like the nautical cleats holding the rope in place.
Vivian found this giant angel wing, but then she made her teenager face:
The sunrise on the beach the second morning was stunning.
And this was the weirdest part of the trip. The last morning we walked along the beach and every few feet for a mile or so there was a piece of fruit - bananas, pineapples, apples, pomegranates and also partially burned candles. What a mystery! We had fun making up stories about the events leading up to this fruit bestrewal. (totally made that word up)
Goodbye Florida - for me, it's been almost 20 years of enjoying your Disney Space Coast and Beaches and of course, Mike's parents. Someday maybe we'll come back, but this was a beautiful farewell.
